Deciding On What Type Of Window To Have

If you haven’t decided yet what type of windows you would want to have installed in your home, why don’t you try and check out the wood windows in Sussex?  In this way, you will have an idea on what kind and type of window will suit your home or the house that you have dreamt of building for your family.  You may notice that usually, homeowners opt to have sash windows.  Well, they take the basic design of it and then leave it to their architect and craftsmen to create something that is unique and suitable to their home.  Amazingly, sash windows have been around for centuries and it was quite popular during the Victorian and Georgian period.  You can still see one of these windows at the Ham House and believe it or not, it was installed way, way back in the 1600s.  It has indeed survived the times and it is possible that your windows will share the same great fate if you are able to get someone who is experienced and well-trained that can make them using only high-quality materials.

Timber sash windows are indeed a favourite due to its simplicity.  They comprise one or more movable sashes or panels and you can open and close them either vertically or horizontally by sliding them.  Counterweights and cords are used to make them easy to open and close.  Whatever design that you have in mind, your craftsman will surely be able to make it happen for you.  Just get in touch with an architectural joinery in the area.
